"I never use "egg" stands. I am always on the hunt for other things to use as stands that are unusual. Over 200 eggs and none have been duplicated due to the unusual/interesting stands and vintage jewelry I find in antiques shops and online" says Artist Lynne de Boer. This ostrich egg has been painted with one of de Boer's special combinations of paints and stains. It has an eerily deep look to the paint ending with a mirror-like reflection at the deepest point. A gold and rhinestone buckle surrounds the bejeweled gold crown, the whole lattice top is dotted with Swarovski stones and the bottom has various swag and gold drop treatments with rhinestones. The stand is a cast iron dragon from the early 1900's and gold leafed. Inside is Sleeping Beauty's castle in a shimmery gossamer cloud and a gold glitzy lining in the top.
