The Pearl Carriage

A Lynne de Boer Coach Egg will take about 40-50 hours to create.  In creating these heirloom quality coaches, she utilizes many fine vintage jewelry pieces as well as some unique design elements.  "I use special paint mixtures I've created on some, 10 coats of acrylic polyurethane on each, and heavy wire stands that are painted (I used to make these myself but a company makes them for me now using my original as a guide).  That's the basics on every carriage egg.  I use only fine antique or vintage jewelry, many of which are signed by famous makers like Eisenbergt, Weiss, Bogoff, Hollycraft, etc."

This carriage is a metallic pearl white with silver leafed decorations, a vintage (art deco 30's) signed brooch for the door decoration, clear Swarovski rhinestones trimming the outside of the windows and door, the same stones placed in multiple swags all over the top with pieces from a vintage signed necklace taken apart at the junctions of swag sets.  The "fore and aft" ends have long drippy rhinestone earrings from the 60's to fill in between the windows and more swags to tie them in with the rest of the design.  On the door are tiny silver findings with green rhinestones in the centers.  It is topped with a miniature tiara altered to look good from all angles - putting a new band on covered with rhinestones rather than leaving the silver toned bar.  Inside is totally decorated with a poofy padded satin brocade ceiling with a vintage rhinestone earring tufting the center of it, shimmery fabric with a silver thread running thru it and teeny, teeny pleats for the window treatments, silver braid trimming the inside edges of the windows and door, padded satin brocade seats matching the ceiling fabric and trimmed with tiny silver lace trim and tufted with silver seed beads; all my seats have high padded backs.  The "floor" between the seats is covered with a strip of white Arctic Fox fur (I use Arctic fox, mink, or sable in every egg).  The inside of the door is tufted padded brocade with a silver trim on the edges.  She uses teeny magnet sets for earrings as the catch for the door.

The chassis is silver leafed with silver decorations on the connection parts, a silver step, silver lame` trim on the wheels (authentic for the period) and silver filigree discs centered with green rhinestones as the hub covers.
