The Frog Prince

In the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Frog Prince, an enchanted prince is turned into a frog.  While still enchanted he rescues a golden ball dropped by a Princess into a well when she promises to  let him sit next to her, eat from her plate, sleep in her bed and be her companion.

Here is the classic tale of the Frog Prince brought to life by Artist Lynne de Boer.  Special paints and stains with a reflective undercoat, gold lattice dotted with Citrine Swarovski flat stones, gold braids, 24K gold chain swags and antique or vintage  filigree pieces found and gold leafed decorate this Ostrich egg.  Gold and rhinestone frog pins adorn the top.

"I wanted the egg to look regal compared to the stand and found this old metal one already done in a green wash with "peasant" frogs seeming to be hailing their majestic leader."  Inside the egg is lined with a extraordinary shimmery green/gold silk weave from imported from India.  The frog has a gold crown made by the artist and is poised holding a golden ball.  He is smiling in a mysteriously captivating way (see below, right).

This one of a kind piece sells for $285.00.  Contact the artist regarding purchase of this piece or commissioning one similar.
