Night of the Unicorn

This prizewinning design features scenes in three panels circling an emu
egg. The
front panel has the unicorn, the second panel shows a castle on the mountain
with a river in front and the third panel has a waterfall feeding into
the river. Emu eggs have three
layers of color: a dark green/black outer layer, a teal or green middle
layer and a white layer innermost layer which is extremely thin. All three
layers of color are utilized in this egg. Using the natural layers of color, the artist achieved
the effect of a night scene.
