Dragon on Emu Egg

The dragon was made with polymer clay and baked onto the egg.  It was then painted gold and shaded.  Red rhinestones were used for the eyes.  The emu egg itself was painted using purple acrylics and then varnished.    The egg was then covered in round glass beads so the purple shows through.

This egg won second place in the Decorated Emu Eggs category, Extravagant Emu Egg Contest,

This egg sold for $350.00.  Contact  Artist Darlene Krowl regarding duplicating this egg or other custom work.
