They Don’t Leave Home Without It!

Artists Tom and Billie Yanez are great fans of Emu oil. Tom had friends who raised Emus and highly recommended the oil for various uses.  It was through one of the Ratite mailing lists, five years ago; they ordered it, and violá, they are still finding new uses.

Billie and Tom live in a three-story house, and have Emu Oil available on every floor. Tom swears there is nothing like it for everything.   It's in all bathrooms, the kitchen, office, workshop and even the garage.  Even in their travel kits. In other words, they never leave home without it!

T&byanez.jpg (23440 bytes)In the bathroom it's used on abrasions, cuts, burns, bug bites and dry skin.  Billie says it definitely heals with minimal scarring and prevents skin discolorations. Very important for diabetics like Tom.  It is also extremely beneficial in helping dry skin.

In the kitchen, Billie has used Emu oil for burns.  It seems to prevent blistering. If you already blistered, it minimizes pain and promotes quick healing.  It will also remove the sticky stuff left by band-aids and tape.

In the garage, Tom removes gluey messes and lubricates stuck hinges. (I wonder if that means old joints?)

I asked if they ever used it as a bug repellent? Billie says she can't testify to that, but Tom swears it's a cure all and it keeps the cooties away.

In decorating and carving eggs, they use Emu oil to clean off spots inside the egg and to shine the outside of eggshells.  (http://www.creativeside.com)

Billie has arthritis and uses roll on preparations that uses Emu oil as the penetrating agent and experienced immediate and long lasting relief.  They both use Emu hand lotion, Shampoo, conditioner, soaps and sports rubs as well as the oil.
